Techniche’ 2012 presents the Guwahati Half Marathon!
We are pleased to announce that the Guwahati Half Marathon is back with a greater zeal and enthusiasm. It is set to kick off on August 26th, 2012 at 6:30 A.M. The IIT Guwahati community takes immense pleasure in inviting you to the event. Comprehending your packed schedule, we would feel extremely honoured if you could accept our obligation and participate in the marathon.
The 4th edition of the Guwahati Half Marathon is more than just a run; it is a symbol of Guwahati’s spirit.
A sense of unity slowly seems to fade away in today’s world. We must do everything we can to protect humanity’s biggest trait- its unity. Too much of violence, spreading of negative messages by certain groups, and of course, terrorism all call for a mighty display of one-ness. The Marathon’s tag line for 2012 has been set as, ‘Run to show your Unity Guwahati!’ This Marathon is a small and much required contribution from IIT Guwahati and Techniche for the betterment of the society. The event shall serve as a step in our endeavour to inculcate the urgency and importance of unity in today’s youth. The Half-Marathon will be succeeded by Techniche ’12 – IIT Guwahati’s annual techno-management festival where there are several events lined up to take this venture to a higher level.
