Hello everyone! Hope everyone is well and in high spirits.

Just like you, even I, Techniche, have many parts of which one of the most important is Corporate Module which is to be launched tomorrow. With events ranging from B-Plan writing to Product launch, Corporate Module has many mind –boggling events, well I meant it the literal way.

Well, as I have bragged this much, I guess it’s time for me to reveal the completely enthralling corporate side of me. For a start, let’s begin with Brain Child- the annual Business Plan writing competition which offers a whooping incubation amount of Rs 1 crore to your ideas. And I am more than happy to tell you that it is going international this year. Moving on, we have Stratagem, the Marketing Strategy Event in which you will have to propose a practical and concrete plan for the given problem statement. The next big thing being Product Launch is a launch pad for your dreams and ideas. The most interesting and sustainable entry can get their product patented as well. It is well said that all work and no play makes life dull. So, we bring to you Virtual Stock Market, in association with Dalaal Street Investment Journal-where you get to unleash the Warren Buffett inside you. Apart from this, there is Blue Chips-the miniature version of VSM. Come play with virtual money and triumph in the real world!

Keeping up the tradition of getting bigger and better every year, this time I am glad to put forth two amazing new events – The Biz-Quiz and Startup Showcase. The former will test your grey cells and let you compete against the finest brains in the country, while the latter – Startup Showcase, introduces you to the best Startups that the country has recently witnessed.

Last but not the least; we have a brand new initiative in store as well. Presenting, the Entrepreneurship Drive of Techniche’12 with an aim to encourage rural entrepreneurship.

Orchestral music will fill the air and disturb the slumber the winter had put across the campus. Coming back to life, IIT Guwahati will witness yet again an ensemble of mesmerizing performances, strenuous competitions and excelling pro-shows. Whilst the community often interpreted as a nerd will loosen up, take off his specs and perhaps head-bang to the heavy metal music, the organizers will revel in their pride as their hard-work and dreams materialize into a splendid carnival of events.

Versatility in events from dance, music, fine arts, theater, photography to quizzing, sports and many more, makes sure Alcheringa has a lot to offer to everyone and build memories that last a lifetime. In one line, each edition of Alcheringa is special in its own sense for everyone. With Megawatts of sounds thundering through the otherwise dry winter air and a (rare) gender ratio on campus, it is almost impossible to not be a part this annual cultural Extravaganza.

With years of unspoken rivalry which bred inspiration, quality and massive improvement in each edition, Techniche and Alcheringa share the same motivation, creativity and hard-work at their core. Looking forward for a thrilling experience this february 2nd to 5th, team Techniche wishes team Alcheringa to be able to realize their dream to the fullest as they embark upon an Urban Odyssey, and welcomes Alcheringa ’12.

Hello again! It’s that time of the year when people exchange a lot of greetings, party hard, celebrate and yes, make a lot of resolutions.

Well, so do I. The year gone by has been an excellent one for me. Lots of hard work, silly jokes, late nights, last moment decisions, innovative management fundas and an entire army of dedicated individuals made the days 1^st to 4^th of September truly memorable – the days when I, Techniche, presented myself to the entire world – days where people from all over learnt, played, interacted, made friends and celebrated innovation like never before. And right after, the Techniche family got down to work again, to rethink all that we do to ensure that Techniche only grows bigger and better. Everyone of us is super - excited with lots of new ideas coming up for fun and innovative events that all of you could be a part of and take back lots of things from. So at the turn of this new year, I, Techniche, like most of you have a resolution to make. To put it in the exact sense – we’ll do everything we can to work carefully at each and every little pixel, every little building block of Techniche – with the highest levels of perseverance and dedication –  ensuring we don’t miss the finest of details – so that when we ultimately do put the pixels together and zoom out in September, 2012 – what you get is a bigger, better and a more promising Techniche experience. I am after all not just an event – I’m an experience, an experience that is made so beautiful by the coming together of some of the greatest individuals alive, some of the best skill testing competitions, fun filled, interactive and highly informative events and all of you that participate and make me come alive.
